As a Reefer Mechanic in the Engine section, your primary responsibility is to oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems on board a vessel. 1. Reefer Unit Operation:

โ Set and adjust temperature and humidity levels based on cargo requirements.
โ Monitor and control refrigerant levels, pressures, and flow rates.
โ Perform routine checks and tests on reefer units to ensure optimal performance.
2. Maintenance and Inspection:
โ Conduct routine inspections of reefer units to check for any signs of wear, leaks, or malfunctions.
โ Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and greasing refrigeration components.
โ Monitor and maintain proper alignment and integrity of refrigeration system components.
โ Conduct periodic tests and checks on refrigeration safety devices and alarms.

3. Troubleshooting and Repairs:
