Job Description

As a Deck Cabin Attendant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of passenger cabins on the deck of a cruise ship. Your attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and dedication to guest satisfaction will contribute to a memorable onboard experience. Here are the key responsibilities and requirements for this position:

1. Cabin Service:
– Clean and maintain passenger cabins on the deck, including making beds, changing linens, and replenishing amenities.
– Ensure cabins are properly stocked with towels, toiletries, and other essential items.
– Address guest requests promptly and professionally, such as delivering extra pillows, blankets, or room service orders.
– Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and guest readiness of cabins.

2. Guest Interaction and Service:
– Provide friendly and personalized service to passengers, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
– Greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage, offering assistance and information about onboard amenities and services.
– Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and requests, resolving issues or escalating them to the appropriate personnel.
– Foster a welcoming and positive atmosphere, creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for guests.

3. Public Area Maintenance:
– Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of public areas on the deck, including lounges, corridors, and other common spaces.
– Monitor and restock supplies in public restrooms and ensure they are kept clean and presentable.
– Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning glass surfaces.
– Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.

4. Safety and Security:
– Maintain a strong awareness of safety and security procedures, reporting any suspicious activities or hazards.
– Adhere to emergency response protocols and participate in safety drills and trainings.
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.

5. Teamwork and Collaboration:
– Collaborate with other onboard departments, such as housekeeping, guest services, and maintenance, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
– Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, providing updates, feedback, and assistance as needed.
– Support a positive work environment by demonstrating professionalism, respect, and teamwork.

Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Previous experience in a customer service or housekeeping role, preferably in the hospitality industry or aboard a cruise ship.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
– Attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
– Physical stamina to handle manual tasks and standing for long periods.
– Familiarity with safety and security procedures in a hospitality environment.
– Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required in a cruise ship environment.
