As an Electrical Engineer in the Engine section, your primary responsibility is to oversee the electrical systems and equipment on board the vessel. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and other engineering personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems. 1. Operation and Maintenance of Electrical Systems:
– Monitor and operate electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.
– Ensure proper functioning and performance of electrical equipment, such as generators, motors, switchboards, transformers, and lighting systems.
– Conduct routine checks and inspections to identify electrical faults or abnormalities.
– Coordinate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and rectify electrical issues.

2. Electrical Repairs and Troubleshooting:
– Diagnose and rectify electrical faults or malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
– Conduct repairs, replacements, or adjustments to faulty electrical components or systems.
– Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify and resolve electrical problems.
– Collaborate with other engineering personnel to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.

3. Preventive Maintenance:
– Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for electrical systems and equipment.
